Promises, Promises...

John McCain promised to "name names" when it came to pork laden bills that would be put on his Presidential desk for signature. He promised he would never sign such a bill, didn't he? Yet, when he had his chance to "walk the walk", he caved in and approved with his signature, the pork laden bailout bill approved this past week in the Senate. Over 150 billion dollars worth of sweet pork were added to the bill, and this pork he could, and did, swallow. Can the man be trusted at all to do what he has said he would do in behalf of Republican Conservatives when elected President? His weak excuse was that he was but "one" of a hundred Senators, and though the bill was bad in his estimation, he voted for it nonetheless. He had no choice; he just couldn't pull the trigger. Talk about reaching out across the aisle! Speaking of which, on Friday, McCain announced that there is a place for Al Gore in his administration, given his unfathomable knowledge, and leadership on the "global warming (hoax)". What exactly, does McCain see in this man? A British judge's ruling that there were too many untruths in his movie,"An Inconvenient Truth", led to the taking out of British schools this fairy tale of a movie. This does not speak well for McCain's ability to surround himself with quality advisors, does it?

It appears that McCain as President, would not just have a difficult time when it comes to Supreme Court appointees, but that he would once again "reach across the aisle" to mollify Democrats, and approve only those who met Democrat standards for such judicial appointments in the first place. So, what is a good Conservative to do? Well, we do have options after all don't we? Call it the "Carter effect". Jimmy Carter, the nutty peanut farmer from Georgia, really blessed America with his Presidency didn't he? One thing is for sure. He guaranteed America the Presidency of Ronald Reagan, and thus began a return to the promise of solid Conservative leadership. Reagan's poise in office, his speaking directly to the American people, was largely instrumental in resurrecting America's image in the world as a true leader of free peoples everywhere. It began with Reagan, we endured both the Republican father and son team who did little to distinguish themselves as Republicans in the Conservative sense. We might, yes, might, (although that is looking less likely with each passing day) have to endure another such unremarkable Republican in John McCain. What then?

Actually, things might not be so bleak. Lately, the single voice in the political wilderness soothing Conservatives fears is none other than Sarah Palin. How painful it has been to watch this woman forced to mouth the less than inspiring words of her running mate. You just know she wanted to go well beyond saying what she was limited in saying during her debate with the prolific liar of the Senate, Joe Biden. How do I know this to be fact, you might ask? Anyone at all who has watched any film concerning Alaska, knows that the people who inhabit Alaska, are among America's most sturdy. Simply living in Alaska presents challenges many of us in the "lower forty-eight" will never have to worry about. Despite the many zany media "elites" who have tried their best to defame, ruin, or otherwise raise questions about herself and her family, they have failed miserably! Sarah went directly to the American people with her message of hope and prosperity for all American citizens. Above all, Sarah has stood tall. With but a wink of her eye, she acknowledges our questions, and assures us that she hears US!

This next Reagan will not be a Reagan at all. She will be a Palin carrying out the dreams of the"Gipper". She will lead the Conservative movement in America, and we will be there in force to support her. She'll name names alright, and those being named will suffer in silent shame for their dirty deeds. She will lead as true leaders do, giving America it's promise once more; giving her all for the country she shamelessly loves. Mostly, she will come to be highly regarded as someone beyond "qualified", to be the next President of the United States of America. I want to think that Sarah would reach "across the aisle" to do only one thing: slap some sense into the heads of these traitorous, and unpatriotic people who are dragging America down.

God bless Sarah Palin, and God bless America!
