The Ides of March

Of a sudden, things are popping. Senator Obama is busy backpedaling away from his Pastor, Jeremiah Wright. He has not officially denounced the racist, anti-American remarks and views of Pastor Wright, but will hold a press conference tomorrow, wherein he will "explain" his continuing relationship with his Pastor. This should be interesting, wouldn't you think? It is rumored that Senator Clinton has some videos to the contrary, showing Senator Obama in attendance at his church when the Pastor made these defiling remarks. Time will tell.

Meanwhile, the anxiety in Britain grows daily over the Labor Party's, and Prime Minister Gordon Brown's efforts to remove the last vestiges of "Britishness" over there. As I have remarked, "Look to Britain for US coming attractions". Having written an essay recently on the cycle of human development in the US, I can attest to the demise of our proud country, in the name of giving power to the Liberals in November. What is particularly galling, is the stated intent to do exactly that, by those very same Liberals. People, Wake Up!

These observations, however diastasteful they may be, have not distracted me from the pleasantness associated with watching my grandchildren perform in school sponsored activities this past weekend. For that, I am singularly grateful.

And now, back to work...
